First Kick!

(18w6d) Today I felt the first kick from the outside! I wasn't sure if that was what I felt at first, but it was! It's such an amazing and strange feeling. It makes everything feel more real. I knew before now that there was a baby in there, but it was hard to believe. While it's still hard to believe that I'm actually growing a human, it felt more real to actually feel it. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to feel it until later because of where the placenta is, but the baby got some "umph" in her/his kick so I could feel it! Side note, I have an anterior placenta which means the placenta is in the front rather than in the back. Completely normal and nothing to worry about but it means that kicks/movement is more cushioned so I might not feel it as much.
